I'm trying to be better about staying up to date with news items. I think part of it is probably because I never quite feel like news related to me is really newsworthy, but that's the point of these posts, isn't it? Haha.
I am pleased to announce that my Bloody Women essay "A Horror Fan's Guide to Surviving Womanhood" has been nominated for a Bram Stoker Award in the "Superior Achievement in Short Non-Fiction" category. It's truly an honor to be nominated alongside such incredible writers for a personal essay that means so much to me. I'd admired Bloody Women for a while before pitching them and being able to write for such an awesome outlet was an absolute dream.
The 2021 Bram Stoker Awards will be announced in Denver, Colorado on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
